Association of anti-piracy work/activity protects the rights of members of this association in Lithuania‘s inside market and electronically expanse. One of the main purpose is to pursue anti-piracy moves in electronically expanse – internet, because the rights keepers take a big waste of internet piracy. The Crimes in electronically expanse is widely spreading. This is the purpose why we are doing the breach of prevention, taking the information of those breaches and publicizing in media. This should prevention warn the conveyors of internet facility.

The intellectual property is protecting as the other form of property. The constitution of republic of Lithuania says that, property is untouchable, intellectual property- as well. For this reason to protect the property, we are taking a part in the inspection of police officers, communicating with guard officers of the country board, customs-house officers, giving the conclusions for copyrights of production. LANVA closely communicating with police officers and others national institutions, which protect the intellectual property. We organize the seminars, the topic about intellectual property protection and identification of legal and illegal production copies, for police and customs- house officers.

„Piracy“is a larceny of production, the same as the car‘s or the other‘s thing larceny. This is one of the activity ways to educate the public about the protection of the intellectual property and why it is important to respect and protect it. There is no different of stealing production or spreading the illegal copies in Cd, or downloading from FTP servers or illegal P2P net, where you can download copies of illegal productions.

All these ways fall fouls of the rights of intellectual property – creators, performers and producers, who worked hard longer than one week, even longer than few months. They don‘t get their pay, but they have the right to. It is important to get the correct pay for man, who worked hard and create a production which we are using to. The new investments stimulate creation and this is the fundament of the progression. The advance of creation is directly attendant with protection of the intellectual property.

Protection of the right is not the only fight against breakers. We started educate the public about anti-piracy activity form youth, understanding that only educating consciousness of people we can expect that users would not buy illegal copies of production and would not use illegal copies in the net. We are going to produce and realize educational program for pupils and students to educate them about the intellectual property. We are going to explain the youth how to recognize legal production form piracy copy.
